The Amber Lake Negotiation Simulation is an intensive four-hour experiential workshop — including short breaks — designed for groups of 18 to 30 participants. Six competing firms share a common resource, each with different financial positions, strategic interests, confidential information, and relationships with the others.
The simulation’s objectives are to develop participants’ capacity for strategic thinking under competitive pressure, to build practical coalition-building and multilateral negotiation skills, and to sharpen their ability to distinguish urgent from important priorities when multiple demands compete for attention simultaneously.
By the end of the session, participants will be able to construct and execute a negotiation strategy across multiple rounds, develop their strategic thinking under competitive pressure, and sharpen their persuasion and coalition-building skills in a realistic business environment.
